KUA Hosted Vermont Academy

12/10 Kua boys basketball team hosted Vermont Academy in their home-opener today. KUA established the pace of the game right from the start, creating points in transition, winning 58-42. Louis Garcia set the tone early with solid pressure on the ball; Charlie Claflin pushed the ball forward quickly and did a nice job distributing the ball to open teammates. Joel Booker scored 10 of his team high 12 points in the first half. Devin Wooten and Louis Garcia each added ten points as well, Peter McNamara chipped in with nine. Pichon Duplan and Matt Cosinuke did a nice job on the defensive boards. This solid team effort by KUA on both ends of the court lead to a 28-15 half time lead and it helped fend off a pesky Vermont team who whittled the lead down to 9 points in the middle of the second half. Next week KUA travels to play Kents Hill on Wednesday and then down to Weston MA for the Rivers Tournament starting Thursday evening.
