The Wildcats faced Holderness for the second time this season and it was an even match up across the board. KUA overall, dominated the draw controls, with Daft leading the way with eight. Brinkman gained five draw controls, Bethke with three and Berard with one.
Offensively, KUA fought back after Holderness was leading by six goals in the beginning of the game. Bethke tallied five goals and three assists, as well as earning her 300th career point as a Wildcat. Daft and Brinkman added three goals a piece and Daft gained an assist as well. Berard also added a goal at a pivotal point, to help bring up KUA moral and take their game to the next level.
Clark was between the pipes and earned six saves. Additionally, the defense worked together to keep the Holderness attack from getting another offensive run throughout the game. Holding down the defense was Lopez, McClure, Sprissler, Dockery, Brinkman and Daft.
The Wildcats have secured the forth seat in the Lakes Region Tournament and head to Holderness again on Wednesday for the semi-final game.
