The KUA Wildcats left everything on the field on Friday, but lost the Lakes Region championship game to Tilton by a 12-2 score. The game was close through the first four and and a half innings, with the Wildcats getting big hits from Misora Hashiramoto, Emma Lapsley, Adi Runge, Shannon Moran, and Margaret Herlihy to trail 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth. Tilton's big bats went to work in that inning, however, and did so again in the next to put the game out of reach. Despite the loss, the Wildcats' season was anything but a failure, finishing with a 10-5 record and making the championship game for the first time since...well, no one really knows. Probably ever. Great work girls!
