Bats Fall Silent in Loss to Tilton

The Wildcats only managed two hits on the afternoon, both by Lulu Leppard, and left seven runners on base in a loss to a strong Tilton team on Wednesday. Pitcher Emma Lapsley was strong in the circle, pitching six innings, striking out six batters, and allowing only three earned runs. With the exception of a tough third inning that saw Tilton capitalize for five runs on three KUA errors, the game was tight throughout, with Tilton doing a great job putting the ball in play and keeping the KUA defense alert. Next up, the Wildcats travel to St. Paul's for a Saturday afternoon contest.
