KUA sweeps Proctor

The Wildcats defeated the Proctor Hornets in their rematch game, and five different players scored. Trey Mason was in the net for the Wildcats. He let one get by him early, but then turned away every shot for the next two and one-half periods. Matt Gardner scored a short-handed goal off a perfect pass from Anthony Solt, and Anthony earned a second assist on a goal by AJ Noel. KUA’s third goal came when defenseman Gabe Laszewski drifted in from the blueline to take up a position in the high slot. Gunnar Wood sent a perfect pass to him from the sideboards, and Gabe sent it confidently into the upper right corner. Liam McKewen scored late in the second period to put the Wildcats up by three, and the final goal of the game was scored by Jacob Hyjek with assists credited to linemates Patrick Hyjek and Nick Fife. The Wildcats have two more games coming up in quick succession – a rematch against Tilton at home on Friday night followed by a Saturday afternoon game at Exeter.
