KUA defeats Vermont Academy at home, 62-55

The KUA boys basketball team pushed their record to 12-3 with an exciting home win over Lakes Region League rival Vermont Academy 62-55 in Alumni Gym today.  Jumping out to a 20-8 lead behind Quinn Guth's 10 first-quarter points the Wildcats took a nine-point lead into the locker room at the half-33-24.  A determined KUA squad held the lead at ten for most of the second half only to see Vermont make a run and cut it to 5pts with 3 minutes left in the match. Rob Brown scored eight of his game-high 23 points down the stretch as the Wildcats went on to win.  KUA travels down to Cushing Academy tomorrow to take on The Masters School in an important Class AA match.
