KUA returns to action with a close win over Lawrence, 68-65
The Wildcats got off on the right foot in their first game of the new year with a 68-65 win over Lawrence Academy today at home. KUA fell behind early in the game as they struggled to find any offensive rhythm but finally took the lead late in the half going into the locker room ahead 35-30 behind Rob McCrae's 12 first-half points. McCrae continued to provide needed offensive for the Wildcats in the second half finishing with a game-high 21 points. Lawrence went down by as much as ten points in the second half but then chipped away to cut KUA's lead to three points at the end, missing their final three-point attempt. Rob Brown added 16 points to join McCrae in double figures for the Wildcats. KUA, whose record now stands at 8-2 will host St Paul's School on Saturday.
