Proctor (NNEHSMTBS)

This Wednesday, the Wildcats participated in the opening race of the Northern New England High School Mountain Biking Series (NNEHSMTBS) at Proctor Academy. The race was, again, well attended with over 400 riders that spread over the three major fields. In the A group, the top division-racing about 10 miles, AJ Noel rode for a 17th place finish. This was his first race for KUA, and as a 9th grader, the finish was especially impressive. The A group was full with 30 elite high school riders. Liam McCoart, the team’s B rider-riding 7 miles, had a solid day. He finished 39th in a packed field with nearly 80 riders competing for just three podium positions. Jared Noxon finished at the top of KUA’s C riders, racing over 5 miles, for the day with 25th place. He was able to battle through an enormous C group that was over 120 riders strong. Charlie White, Jack Birkmeyer also rode strong races, with middle of the pack finishes. It was a great day for a race, and fun was had by all.
