KUA tops St. Paul's 12-2

KUA's defense came to play on Wednesday holding St. Paul's scoreless for the first 40 minutes of the contest.
Will Kezerian got KUA on the board early scoring 1:16 into the 1Q and the Wildcat's never looked back. Ethan Howell scored for KUA just 1:30 later. St. Paul's goalie did a great job keeping his team in the game early as he made 14 saves on the day. Senior defenseman Jordan Harris scored the 3rd goal of the day at the 7:47 mark and Andrew Robertello added another with 1:40 remaining in the 1Q. The KUA offense slowed a little in the 2Q, but the defense lead by Jordan Harris, Matt Egan, Chase Ouhrabka, James Surgenor and Haye Huwiler kept the SPS shooter away from goalie Chris Bassi. KUA managed to score man down with 2:29 to play in the quarter to go up 5-0. Freshman Gunnar Wood won the ensuing draw and assisted Ethan Howell :09 seconds later. Andrew Robertello scored with under a minute to go to put KUA up 7-0 at half. The Wildcats kept up the pressure in the second half as Peyton Ceppetelli scored 2 goals and Carson Moe had a great behind the back assist to help KUA win on a day where everyone on the team got to see the field.
