  • Carpenter

    Kimball Union is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our Projects Team. Our team works on everything from demo to rebuilding the interiors of old houses, including kitchens and bathrooms; we need a Carpenter with varying experience who loves thinking outside the box. The ideal candidate will have his or her own basic hand tools and be willing to take on a variety of projects. Applicant should have experience in all facets of general construction.

    We offer a full time position and excellent benefits. Pay is based on experience.

    *4+ years’ experience in finish carpentry
    *Additional 1+ years’ experience in rough carpentry       
    *Possession of basic hand tools
    *Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
    *Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 50 pounds
    *Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
    *Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
    *Ability to read technical documents and drawings
    *Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
    *Good knowledge of English
    *Good understanding of basic math
    *Good physical condition and endurance
    *Lay out floorings, roofing, or drywalls, ensuring they are leveled and compatible
  • Junior Varsity Assistant Hockey Coach

    Kimball Union Academy is searching for a Junior Varsity Assistant Hockey Coach for the 2018-2019 winter season.  Practices are generally Monday through Saturday with games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. A valid driver’s license is required.

  • Part Time Bus Driver

    Kimball Union Academy is seeking part-time school bus drivers to transport students primarily for athletic events. Additional extracurricular runs may also be available as needed. Typical runs are Wednesdays and Saturdays. 
    Experienced bus drivers with a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements is required and must be able to provide 10 years of employment history.

  • Part Time Maker-Ed Intern

    Kimball Union Academy Hiring for the 2018-19 School Year - Part Time Maker-Ed intern, weekday afternoons and evenings. Experience independent school life on the beautiful KUA campus! You will assist with supervising students in an after classes sport or activity program and you will proctor evening study hours in our newly renovated Maker Space lounge. You are an ideal candidate if you are interested in interactive STEM education and have experience that allows you to supervise the use of and troubleshoot 3D printers, vinyl-cutters, and the laser printer.   • Part Time Zamboni Operator

    Part-time seasonal Zamboni driver to work through March. The ideal candidate will have previous Zamboni and/or Ice Rink Maintenance Experience; willing to train.  Candidate will be responsible for resurfacing the ice between sessions and maintaining a satisfactory level of cleanliness and sanitation within the building. Candidate should have good people skills and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.  Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
