Proctor Uses 3rd Quarter Run to Top KUA

KUA and Proctor met for the second time Saturday on Pope Field. Proctor opened the scoring in the first, but Will Harrigan put the Wildcats up 2-1 on goals that were :11 second apart five mintues into the first. Proctor scored with :48 seconds to go in the first to even the score. The second quarter was a defensive struggle with Proctor scoring the only goal with :19 seconds remaining. Nick Parker had 5 saves in the first half, allowing the Wilcats to be down one heading into the second half. The 3rd quarter, saw Proctor gain a substanial edge in the faceoffs. Winning 6/8 faceoffs in the thrid quarter, Proctor extended the lead to 9-3. KUA's Sam Erb scored 9:12 into the quarter to end the drought for KUA. The Wildcats ralled in the 4th quarter with a goal :18 seconds in by Andrew Robertello off an assist from Mike Lombardi. Gavin Black and Will Harrigan scored, narrowing the deficit to 9-6. KUA's defense extended and tried to force turnovers in the last 2:00, but yielded 2 goals with an empty net. The Wildcats are now 3-6 and face Tilton at home on Wednesday.
