KUA into the championship game

KUA beats Brunswick 3-2 to make the championship game tonight at 6. 
Kua used goals from Jonathan Charbonneau, Nick Roberto and AJ Greer to solidify a spot in tonight's championship game against the Nichols school. Charbonneau scored first off a Niko Rufo shot. After Brunswick tied it at 1, Roberto got behind the d and scored high glove. Brunswick wouldn't quit. They tied it again at 2. AJ Greer scored in the middle of the third period to secure the win. 






It didn't take long for KUA to on the board against the Nichols Schools this afternoon. 12 seconds to be exact. Nick Roberto scored from the right cirlce, shooting it top corner blocker side. Casey Miller and JD Dudek picked up assists on the early goal. Nichols tied it early in the 2nd. The tie did not last long, as Gregg Burmaster scored when he came around the net, came out front and slid the puck under the pads of the Nichols goalie. The third period started with KUA down two men. Casey Miller and the D pairings did an excellent job killing off the 5-on-3 and jump starting the third period. AJ Greer added and insurance goal in the third when he dropped the puck to Jonathan Charbonneau, who then returned the pass to Greer who had streaked to the net for the back door goal. Ryan Lund was in net, making a few keys saves down the stretch.

KUA started off strong on the first day of the Nichols Tournament in Buffalo, New York.

KUA opened the tournament against St. Francis of New York. KUA used 4 goals in the first period and 4 goals in the third period to secure an 8-2 win. JD Dudek had 1 goal, while Nick Roberto continued to stay hot with 2 goals and 1 assist on the day. Jonathan Charbonneau got on the score sheet three times 2 goals and an assist. Brandon Cole, AJ Greer and Niko Rufo each had a goal. Rufo also had three assists on the day. Casey Miller, Gregg Burmaster and Doyle Somerby also were accredited with assists.

KUA ended the first day with a 5-0 win over Hebron Academy from Maine. After a scoreless first period, Brendan White got the Wildcats' on the board with a nice shot from the point on the power play. He also had a hand in another goal during the game. JD Dudek continued to produce with 2 goals, including his first 30 seconds into the third period. AJ Greer got on the score sheet with a goal. Jacob Paluch got his second goal of the season late in the third to help solidify the win. Connor Evangelista, Jordan Babb, Niko Rufo, Jonathan Charbonneau and Doyle Somerby each had an assist in the game while Nick Roberto had 3 assists. Eric Bogart earned the shot on the day.
