KUA wins a tough battle 52-45

Kimball Union boys basketball team travelled to Boston today to take on Brimmer and May School. In a tough defensive battle, both teams found it difficult to generate much offense.  Rick Naylor carried the offense for KUA today especially in the first half where he scored 14 of KUA’s 20 first half points and finishing with a game high 22 points with 6 baskets from beyond the arc.  Down two at the half, KUA came back to establish a slight lead in the middle of the second half. Danny Eiber hitting  three threes coming off the bench in the second half was the spark that helped KUA build an eight point lead only to see Brimmer hit a three to bring the game within  three 48-45 with less than a minute to play.  KUA hit two free throws and a final layup at the end to win 52-45. This brings KUA’s record to 18-4 with the final week of regular season play coming up.  They travel to Wilbraham on Monday, Vermont Academy on Wednesday, and then finish up with two games in Connecticut over the weekend.
