Girls Lose Close Match at Home

 

KUA 1 - Dublin School 7

In spite of the score, the KUA JV girls played some very good, close matches splitting two tie-breakers. Freshman Caitlin Porrazzo reluctantly moved to the number 1 singles position and played extremely well in a match that couldn't be any closer as she lost 4-7 in a tie-breaker. Clare Menzel playing in her first match won her #4 singles match in a tie-breaker 7-5. Su Hyun Song at #3 singles and  Xiaolei Zheng at #6 singles each lost close matches 7-9. Due to the lateness of the day and a Dublin sore knee, the #3 doubles team of Clare Menzel and Dorothy Li ended their match with a 7-7 tie. With a little luck, the girls might have won this close match, but hope for another good day at home against Proctor Academy on Saturday.
