Tour Dartmouth Library on December 15

Come along on a guided tour of Baker-Berry Library, the central library at Dartmouth College. Dartmouth's eight libraries hold 2.7 million books and hundreds of thousands of other materials, including databases and journals, videos, maps, sound recordings, rare books and manuscripts, and 450,000 photographs! A librarian from Baker-Berry's Research & Instruction Services department will show us how to navigate this wealth of resources. Along the way, we will visit the reference section, the periodicals and news rooms, the media center, and some of the eight floors of book stacks. We will also view the famous Orozco murals and learn about some of Dartmouth's digital projects. If time permits, we can stop for coffee or pizza on the way back to KUA. Email librarian@kua.org or stop by Coffin Library if you are interested. We are currently planning to go on Tuesday afternoon and we will attempt another trip to accommodate your schedule if you are interested! Learn more about the Dartmouth College Library at its website: www.library.dartmouth.edu.
