Kimball Union Academy trustee Sheila A. Culbert Named Next Head of The Loomis Chaffee School
The Loomis Chaffee School has announced that Kimball Union
Academy trustee, Sheila A. Culbert,
interim vice president of communications, senior assistant to the president of
Dartmouth
College since 1998, and
history professor, will become the seventh head of The Loomis Chaffee School.
Dr. Culbert will succeed Russell H. Weigel, who took the post in 1996, beginning
July 1, 2008.
“Sheila has contributed so much to our Board during her

strong leadership skills and a commitment to academic excellence to this new
position. We are delighted for her, and for Loomis
Chaffee. We are also very pleased that, while we know she will be immersed in the
transition and life at Loomis, she has agreed to serve out her term on Kimball
Union’s board.”
