First E.E. Just Leadership for Students a Success!
Kimball Union Academy is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first ever E.E. Just Environmental Leadership Institute for students.
Kimball Union Academy offered its first ever Summer Language Institute
during the week of June 26th. Kimball Union Academy is pleased to announce the successful completion
of the first ever E.E. Just Environmental Leadership Institute for
students. Students from Hanover all the way to California participated
in this three-week program offering hands-on exploration of
environmental science topics through an inquiry-based learning
approach. Last Friday the Institute held closing presentations in
Flickinger Auditorium. Parents, friends, faculty, administrators, and
even Representative Charlotte Houde Hardy and Senator Peter Burling
attend this exciting event.
All of the kids worked very hard to understand their assigned problem - whether or not it makes sense for NH to become a Cool State by adopting Kyoto standards. Some chose to focus on Kimball Union Academy as a case study while others explored more widespread issues for the state of NH. As you can imagine we’re very excited about these presentation!
Following the presentations Kimball Union Academy's first summer boarding program officially came to a close. We’re pleased to report that we’re already planning lots of other opportunities for next summer!
