2/1 The boys’ 2nd Hockey team had a roller-coaster game against Holderness today – their second meeting in a week. Holderness scored the lone goal in a fast-paced first period, but KUA scored three in the first half of the second and held that lead until early in the third when Holderness scored two quick power play goals to tie the game at three. Only moments later, a Holderness forward streaked into the KUA zone on an unopposed breakaway, but Trevor McGraw made a huge save and KUA moved the puck quickly back to the Holderness end where Vinnie Smith scored his second goal of the day. Max Baker scored an unassisted goal to bring the lead back to two, but Holderness scored two more power play goals to knot the score again. KUA had a powerplay opportunity late in the game and peppered the Holderness net, but the game ended tied at five apiece. Zach Danyo and Chris McDonald scored the other KUA goals, and Tyler Bicknell, Nick Millette, Trevor McDonald and Vinnie Smith were all credited with assists. The team plays at home against St. Louis Academy on Friday and Lakes Region rival Proctor on Saturday
