12/3 The KUA boys' third basketball team opened their season with a win over the Cardigan Mountain jv team. Down by one at the half, KUA dominated the second half on both ends of the floor to finish with an 8 point win, 35-27. All 15 KUA players saw time during the game, and ten players got on the board. KUA was led by freshman Tom Seo who found the basket 5 times for 10 points. KUA presented a strong defensive effort with Nik Girouard, Andrew Weitzel, Kevin Jang, Luke Burritt and Young Cho all coming up with steals. The defensive effort created several scoring opportunities that KUA capitalized on. On the offensive end, KUA's quickness and ball movement led to 29 trips to the charity stripe for the team. Unfortunately, showing some first game jitters, KUA only converted 7 of these attempts. However, the team shut down the Cardigan offense to hold on to the win.
