KUA vs Portsmouth Abbey

1/7 KUA boys jv basketball improved to 4-1 after defeating Portsmouth Abbey 44-31.  KUA used a balanced attack to defeat visiting Portsmouth Abbey, with 8 different players in the scoring column.  KUA's point leaders in this balanced attack were co-captain Bryan Gee (8 points) and Peter Logan (8 points).  KUA used a combination of defenses to counfound Portsmouth Abbey, and the backcourt combination of Bryan Gee, Mike Staton and Ben Newton was too much for the visitors to handle.  The Meriden Sportswriters had a tough time choosing today's player of the game, but in the end they voted for Bryan Gee because of his spirited defense.
