KUA 8 - Northern Cyclones 2

Six different players scored to pace KUA to an 8 – 2 win over the Northern Cyclones U-16 team. The Cyclones struck first with a short-handed goal late in the first period. That is never a good sign, but Andrew Hadlock scored later in the power-play opportunity to even the score at one, and the Wildcats scored the next four before the Cyclones scored their second. Carson Moe and Hayes Huwiler lead all scorers with three points each, and Anthony Solt, Conner Chalmers and Jon Schafer each had a goal. Reed Dousevicz made several key saves in the net for KUA, and Gunnar Wood and Kobi Lees were consistently solid on defense while Cam Tucker, Jeremy Sigl and Liam McKewan were buzzing around the Cyclones’ net all night. The Wildcats will face the NH Avalanche U-16 team on Saturday before returning to Lakes Region play against New Hampton next Wednesday.
