KUA Drops Tight First Game to NHS

The JV field hockey team played their  inaugural game on the sunny and hot New Hampton School turf this past Saturday. Although the final score was 1-2, KUA played with a great deal of effort and heart. It was a great start to the season! Celebrity goalie Seana Perkins joined us for the game and had an impressive seventeen saves. Defensive sweeper Jesse Leung anchored the defensive line and made a strong defensive save. Anda Brown had a tireless defensive game, along with Gabby Pais, Kristen Richardson and Sunny Sun. Natalie Paine, who also had a defensive save, teamed with Reagan Schaffer and Dorodia Huang to maintain a full-game hustle in the midfield. Caitlin Doyle, Grace Bonner, Maggie Hicks and Lucy Pike worked hard to move the ball across the 50 and transition the ball from the midfield on. Lucy Pike scored her first goal in a KUA jersey, assisted by Grace Bonner, off of a rebound from the goalie pads.  KUA likewise had two suceasful offensive corners. In the last five seconds of the game, Sunny Sun had her first ever shot on net! KUA is excited to take on Brewster on Wednesday.
