Defensive pressure allowed KUA to build a 22-2 lead in the early minutes of today's contest against Class B Brooks School. Taylor Soule was responsible for 12 of KUA's first 15 points while teammates Christina Ryan, Hana Caloras and Miranda Judd all hit three-pointers in the first half.
Soule finished with a game-high 16 points (all in the first half) and 12 rebounds. Judd had another strong performance chipping in with 15 points, including three treys, while Esa Anderson and Cailtin Kuzma scored their first varsity points. Point Guard Ella Bankert dished 7 assists to only one turnover.
Six players had 3 or more rebounds and all 12 members played disciplined and aggressive defense. Sarah Heiskell-Mann drew an offensive charge, her second of the season.
KUA wins its sixth game in a row, improving to 13-3. Tilton comes to town on Wednesday for a Lakes Region League re-match.
