The Wildcats Score in Last 30 Seconds to Win Season Opener
The Kimball Union Wildcats played the Pomfret School Griffins at Deerfield Academy today. The Wildcats came out strong in the rain and maintained possession in their offensive 16 for majority of the first half. In the second half, the team worked well bringing the ball down the field. Miranda Judd (junior, Lebanon, NH) played a strong game in the midfield supporting the front line. With 30 seconds left in the game, senior Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT) scored off an insert form junior Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) in the team’s 12th corner of the half, 17th corner of the game. The Wildcats finished with 15 shots on goals. Senior Morgan Sebor (Concord, NH) earned 4 saves in goal and sophomore Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) had 2 saves in goal.
