Rachel Litchman '17 To Be Published in Whitefish Review
Brian Schott, the founding editor of Whitefish Review, was a featured guest speaker for Jenny Blue's "Writing and Publishing" Senior English Elective this spring. After hearing him speak about the journal, freshman Rachel Litchman decided to submit a short story she had written for her freshman English class, Literature of the Quest, in which a young girl comes of age in a singularly magical way. A few weeks later, her story was one of eight selected for the 15th "Fire" issue from over 150 nationally solicited submissions!
Whitefish Review is a nationally-acclaimed, non-profit journal publishing the distinctive literature, art, and photography of mountain culture. Author Doug Peacock has called it, "One of the most refreshing journals to hit the literary scene in years."
The "Fire" issue will be launched on Friday, June 5, 2014 in Whitefish, Montana.
