KUA @ New Hampton

The girls started today’s game with a solid first period. The game remained scoreless until New Hampton converted on a power play opportunity, but KUA answered on the following shift. Aurora Braswell (Jr.) scored her team leading 6th goal of the season by capitalizing on a bouncing puck in the slot. The 2nd period would start with the teams knotted at 1-1. The game remained tied until New Hampton struck midway through the period and added a back breaker with 3 seconds to play to carry a 3-1 lead into the final frame. It was a courageous effort, but the girls ran out of gas in the 3rd and New Hampton was able to find the net for two more making the final 5-1. KUA returns to action Sat., Feb. 22 with a 2:00pm home game vs. Vermont Academy. Saturday is the girls' last home game of the regular season.
