Braswell & Poirier Lead Way in Shutout Victory

KUA put together 3 periods of solid team play today at Tilton. The girls battled offensively in the 1st period and were finally rewarded when Hannah Madden (Sr.) drove the goal line and slid a nice pass inside to Aurora Braswell (Jr.) who scored to give KUA a 1-0 lead. The 2nd period was a tight affair with neither team able to find the back of the net. KUA continued to grind offensively and play stingy team defense as the 3rd period wore on. Finally, with 4 minutes to play in the game, Aurora Braswell struck for her second goal of the game on a great pass from Angela Augusta (Jr.). That would be all KUA goaltender Amelie Poirier (Sr.) needed to collect her sixth shutout of the season via a 2-0 win. KUA returns to action Sat., Feb. 15 with a 3:00pm home game vs. Hebron Academy.
