Braswell Scores Twice in KUA Victory

KUA fell behind early, but rebounded quickly when Jr. Aurora Braswell created a turnover and finished off a breakaway opportunity with a great shot inside the far post. The score remained tied at 1-1 heading into the 2nd period. Special teams were a factor in the middle frame as the girls did a great job of killing off a long 5 on 3 power play for Holderness and then struck on a power play of their own when Aurora Braswell tipped Lexi Nottke’s point shot for her second goal of the game. Jr. Maya Karosas had the other assist on the play. Holderness came on strong in the 3rd period, but Sr. Amelie Poirier was there to shut the door and help KUA to a 2-1 victory.
KUA returns to action on Wed., Jan. 15 with another road game at Vermont Academy.
