KUA Blanks Groton in 3-0 Win

KUA came out strong in the first period and took the play to Groton offensively. Goals by Fr. Julia Surgenor and Jr. Joanna Schafer caped off a solid opening frame. Groton regrouped and came on strong in the 2nd period, but Sr. Amelie Poirier turned away all shots and KUA maintained their 2-0 lead throughout the period. The girls put forth a strong 3rd period, but could not increase their lead until 2 minutes to play when Hannah Madden drove wide and went top shelf to ice the game. Congrats to Amelie Poirier who recorded her second shutout in 4 league games. KUA now heads to the Southfield Tournament. Action starts on Friday, Dec. 20 at 12:00pm.
