All day long KUA was playing catch up from a score and effort standpoint. After a scoreless first, Holderness converted a power play opportunity when KUA was unable to clear the zone. Soon after a great individual effort by Casey Miller got the puck to Greg Burmaster who found Jon Charbonneau alone in front to even the score. Again, Holderness converted on the power play when KUA again, again failed to clear the zone. Jordan Babb evened the score again for the Wildcats when he converted a power play opportunity of his own. In the third KUA took four consecutive penalties and Holderness made them pay on the third one as they scored their third power play goal of the day to give them the final 3-2 lead. In the game KUA outshot Holderness 35-18, but Holderness was excellent in limiting KUA’s second chance opportunities. The loss drops KUA to 21-3-3. Next up for the Wildcats is a road game with Proctor on Wednesday.
