Wildcats Open With Road Win

The Kimball Union Wildcats got their first win of the season with a 7-3 victory over Williston Northhampton. The Wildcats came out flying scoring an early goal by Junior Matt Michaud. After an up and down first period the Wildcats were able to gain separation going up 2-0 on a goal by new Junior, Nick Roberto. In the second the Wildcats would gain separation on another goal by Roberto, his second of the game, and two by Junior Jonathan Charbonneau, both shots beating the goalie high.
In the third, Junior goalie Eric Bogart kept his team ahead with some great goaltending, specifically on the penalty kill. As the game became tight, Williston scored twice, to pull the within two. However, the Wildcats continued to press as Senior Assistant Captain Tim Baylis led the charge, scoring on a snap shot (powerplay), then again on a breakaway, to push the lead to 7-3. The Wildcats are in action Friday night as they take on New Hampton.
