Today KUA came from behind twice to bring the score even at 3-3, but a Holderness goal late in the second half gave them the win. Although KUA pressed hard in the Holderness end right from the start, they were able to get two quick goals in the first half. Going into the second half, down 0-2, KUA went onto the field even more determined to score. With the support of the midis, the forwards pressed harder in the Holderness end resulting in two quick goals scored by Mo Olson. Chloe Kim had both assists with Kelsey Pollard also assisting on the second goal. The game went back and forth and soon Holderness found the goal again going up 3-2. Abby Rosen at right attack caught up to a ball outside the Holderness circle and finding herself with a breakaway, carried it in and shot for the goal. Now it's 3-3 and with 2 minutes left in the game Holderness found themselves in the KUA circle and put the ball into the corner of the goal. KUA kept up the pressure in the Holderness end right to the final seconds, but they were unable to tie it up for a third time. Jenny Choi and Maddie Belback were tireless as midis andJennifer Kim, Irene Lee, Lindsay Ling, and Kristen Chen on defense kept the team in the game the whole way. Defensive players Jenny Jeon and Cherry Cheng played their part in an exciting game. KUA had 7 corners in the first half and 3 in the second to 2 corners for Holderness. Mackenzie Keegan had another great game in goal with 5 incredible saves. Next up on Wednesday is the Sant Bani School at home.
