Drew Simoneau ('11), along with ninety-five other high school All-Americans, participated in the Champion Challenge at the ESPN Rise Games in Orlando. In this elite tournament, Drew scored the tying goal to send his team to the finals and was selected by acclaimed lacrosse spokesperson Quint Kessenich as one of tournament's top 15 players.

Kessenich summed up Simoneau effort as follows: "Simoneau was a workhorse during the pool play portion but ran out of gas in the finals. He struggled with cramps on Thursday; the Manchester, New Hampshire native didn't care for the 100-degree plus temperature on the field. Neither did I. But he dominated the first two games, controlling face-offs and a scrapping his way to the net. At 5-7 and 190 pounds he reminds me of a young Eric Wedin (Johns Hopkins and LI Lizards). He won over 70% of his draws this spring and is the best Nazareth recruit since Brian Silcott played for the Golden Flyers in the early 90s."
