KUA plays tough in 16-5 defeat

Facing one of the strongest Exeter teams in many years, KUA knew they had their hands full. Still, the Wildcats battled all four quarters and never once let the game’s pace or intensity get away. Drew Simoneau and Chris Morse fought fierce battles at the face-off spot, winning half of the restarts during the midweek contest.  KUA’s attack dodged aggressively against the Exeter defenders and managed a number of shots, many of which dinged the posts or were swallowed up by the Big Red keeper.  Seven players figured in the Wildact’s five goals. Chris More scored one and assisted on another, while Drew Simoneau, Sam Wyskiel, Max Abendroth, and Dennis Kravchenko added on a piece.  Ian Timpone and CJ Frates both contributed assists.  At the other end, KUA’s defense, with Miles Hancock, Andrew Kelly, and Patrick Lynch in front of the Wildcat keeper Tim McNair, matched well one on one.  Exeter’s offense was good in the unsettled battles and many of the Big Red goals came in their transition game.
