The girls JV team hosted the Proctor Hornets on Wednesday afternoon. It was another soggy and wet afternoon, but the girls were able to rally together and put forth one of their best efforts of the season. The girls have been working on slowing down their attack and they were successful all game doing just that. A number of players scored for the Wildcats: Laura Galvin (2 goals), Haley Pollock (2 goals), Beka Spencer (3 goals), Catherine Chivers (3 goals), and Bonnie Plausteiner (1 goal). The defense of the Wildcats was very strong as well with big stops by Jenny Choi, Meg Fauver, and Tori Pipas. Molly Root played one of her strongest games of the season and provided the Wildcats with some great clears so that they could get up the field quickly. The Hornets stepped up their game in the second half and held the Wildcats to just 3 goals, however the Wildcats were able to hold onto the lead and won 11-5. The Wildcats travel to Cushing on Saturday where they hope to get another victory!
