KUA scores 2 in the second half to win over Cushing

Two early second half goals were enough to lead KUA to a 2 - 0 victory over visiting Cushing Academy. Just six minutes into the second half, Rebecca DeTurk started the scoring on a perfect shot placed just inside the right post from 16 yards out with the assist going to Maddy Kenyon. Less than 2 minutes later, Kenyon scored again for KUA, set up by forward Shannon Doherty. KUA out shot Cushing 15 - 9 and held a 4 - 1 edge in corners. Midfielders Hannah Schafer and Caro Longpre had solid games for KUA, and goalkeeper Emily Kelly recorded the shutout.
