Hoggers Make Late Game Comeback

KUA traveled to Northfield, MA for a rematch with the Hoggers on Thursday night.  Hoping to upset the hosts on their Senior Night, KUA came out of the gates on fire and took a 22-20 halftime lead. With 5 minutes left, the Wildcats held a 5 point lead (40-35), but NMH hit some crucial shots down the stretch to overtake the Cats.  A significant discrepancy in free throws may have played a role, as KUA shot 6-for-7 from the line while NMH had 22 opportunities. Nonetheless, KUA played hard and nearly knocked off a talented Hogger team.

Greydy Diaz played with poise all game netting 18 points, dishing 2 assists and pulling down 4 rebounds. Sophomore Autumn Kariuki recorded yet another double-double with 15 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.  Tori Agel was close behind with 10 boards, 6 points and 3 assists.  Senior Ainsley MacDonald played all 32 minutes and was a force on the defensive end.

KUA drops to 13-8 with the loss and will finish up the regular season with a home game against a tough Governor's team on Saturday.
