KUA Boys Basketball team travelled to Vermont Academy today and came away with a sound 80-35 victory. Vermont came out playing zone, challenging
KUA to shoot from the perimeter. The Wildcats did just that, hitting over 50% from beyond the arc for the game. KUA took a 39-25 lead at the half behind nine threes and then hit another six in the second half. KUA’s defensive effort in the second half stymied Vermont’s attack, holding them to a total of 11 second half points. Carlos Toussaint lead all scorers with 15 points for the night and three other KUA players , Din Moore (13), Leslie Smith (12), and Keith Callies (11), joined him hitting for double digits. Eight of ten players scored for KUA tonight with freshman Tarik Octave scoring 5 for his first points as a varsity player. Brimmer and May School comes to Meriden to take on the Wildcats in an important Class B game on Saturday at 3pm.
