KUA played host to archrival Holderness today at home in a game that saw almost more penalties than shots on net. The Wildcats came out and got 2 goals just 6 minutes into the contest, both courtesy of Matt Fiacco. Holderness got on the board just a few minutes later to make it 2-1, and Drew Simoneau capped off the 1st period scoring with a nice one-timer to give the Wildcats a 3-1 lead. The first half of the 2nd period did not go very well for KUA as they struggled to keep momentum. Ian Timpone got on the board just 2 minutes before making ice to give the Wildcats a 4-1 lead heading into the dressing room. KUA came back out with more intensity in the second half of the 2nd period as Josh Huett scored back to back goals in his debut shift as a forward. Cheese capped off the 2nd period with a goal of his own to give the Wildcats a 7-1 lead heading into the 3rd period. Matt Jarecki gave a good pass to Owen Labrie, who buried it in the net to become the first freshmen goal scorer on the team. Ian Timpone got the 9th goal off of a pass from Josh Huett.
KUA played well at times today and was able to spread the playing time fairly equally. Timpone put together a 4 point game with 2 goals while Fiacco, Maggiore, and Huett earned 3 points a piece. KUA will be back in action looking for vengeance against New Hampton on Wednesday.
