Pillsbury Notches a Double-Double in Win Over Gann
Shelby Pillsbury was unstoppable in today's 64-31 victory over visiting Gann Academy. The 5'6 forward grabbed 10 rebounds (8 offensive), dished out 4 assists, nabbed 2 steals and netted a season-high 11 points. As a team, KUA grabbed 42 rebounds with Tori Agel, Autumn Kariuki and Becca DeTurk grabbing 5 or more boards apiece.
Three other other Wildcats scored in double figures with Gabby and Greydy Diaz scoring 13 each and Agel chipping in with 10. Plainfield's Ainsley MacDonald was close behind with 9.
All nine healthy players saw significant minutes in today's victory. Newcomer Emily Kelly gained valuable experience while producing excellent results (4 points, 4 rebounds) while freshman Gretchen Schissel contributed 2 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal. Another solid team victory for the Lady Wildcats!
