Wildcats Face Off in Season-Opener

The Lady Wildcats emerged victorious in their season opener against Vermont Academy.  Gabby Diaz and Bianca Brenz had the hot hand in the opening half each chipping in with 10 points to propel the Cats to a 29-10 lead at the break. Greydy Diaz caught fire in the second stanza netting 12 of her 14 total points.  Defense was the key, however, as KUA forced 32 VA turnovers and nabbed a team total of 18 steals.  Gabby Diaz finished the game with an impressive 13 points, 7 assists and 6 steals.  Brenz added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals in the 52-33 victory.

KUA, 1-0, travels to Proctor on Wednesday for a 2:00p.m. tip-off.
