KUA ties New Hampton 1-1

KUA traveled to New Hampton and salvaged a 1-1 tie.  New Hampton got on the board first tallying a goal off a direct kick midway through the first half. Ten minutes later Maddy Kenyon crossed the ball to Caysea Benner at the top of the 18 yd box.  Caysea then turned on it and buried her shot into the top corner to tie the game up.  Caysea had missed on a similar shot earlier hitting the crossbar.  The game remained tied through regulation.  Late in the game Maddy Kenyon drilled a shot off the crossbar but the rebound was cleared out by New Hampton.  As  the final minutes ticked down New Hampton's forward broke through the defense and was in alone on goal.  Her shot, hit on the ground to the far corner looked to be the game winner but KUA's goalie Lauren Fischelis dove and just parried the ball wide to keep the game tied. KUA travels down to Cushing on Wed.
