KUA Girls soccer team traveled to Loomis Chaffee to take on St Lukes School at a neutral site. In the first 25 minutes St Lukes scored two goals to put KUA on their heels but the teams played an even match from that point with the score ending 2-0. in St Lukes favor. KUA made a few defensive adjustments and settled in to turn back a number of St Lukes offensive forays. At the same time KUA did a much better job controlling play in the middle of the field and creating a few good scoring opportunities as well. Lauren Fischelis, recovering from an injury, took her place in the goal for the first time this season and did an admirable job keeping St Lukes at bay, making quality saves in each half to keep KUA in reach. She ended with nine saves for the game. KUA returns to Lakes region action next week with games against Holderness and New Hampton.
