KUA Girls soccer team travelled to Exeter today. In a defensive battle KUA came up just short losing 1-0. A determined defensive effort lead by Chelsea Kantola, Lauren Borislow and Tory Agel turned aside numerous Exeter chances. Exeter forwards, often caught by KUA’s pulling defense found it difficult to receive and penetrate into the box. When they did KUA’s goalie Emily Kelly was up to the challenge with nine saves. In the 65th minute Exeter served a ball into the area from the wing that was headed in for the only score of the match. Kimball Union responded getting numbers forward but were unable to put in the equalizer.
