KUA nips Holderness 1-0

KUA Girls soccer travelled to Holderness School to take on their Lakes Region League rival today and came away with a 1-0 victory. 19 minutes into the first half KUA struck for the only goal of the game on a corner kick by Shannon Doherty that deflected in behind the Holderness goalie. In an evenly match contest both teams had their chances but the defense on both sides came up big when they needed to. Tory Agel and Chelsea Kantola had strong games in the back for KUA. Shannon Doherty and Maddy Kenyon created a number of quality scoring opportunities for KUA but we just failed to finish. Brewster Academy comes to Meriden for KUA's next game on Wednesday.
