The KUA boys and girls Cross Country teams accelerated throughout the race to come from behind and place 2nd in a meet at Proctor which included all of the teams within the Lakes Region. The girls were tied with Holderness through the first 3 runners with 18 points, but were edged out by the fourth runner in the tiebreaker. E. Exton and E. Moses led the girls team by placing 3rd and 4th, respectively. M. Zonay and N. Sangermano finished out the scoring for the Wildcats.
The boys were 10 points behind host Proctor's 22 points. Sophomore J. Huett led KUA with a second place finish in a time of 20:19. D. Lowenstein, A. Picard and 9th grade sensation PJ Tessier took places 9-11 to round out the scoring. Cross Country next races at New Hampton on the 7th.
