Score not an indicator as New Hampton pulls away late
KUA's GJVB team returned to action on Saturday confident and determined to pick up their first win. Led by some patient offensive sets and solid, containing defense, the girls went back and forth for most of the first half and had an opportunity to get within two during the last minute but seniore Tess Fournier was unable to convert free throws after being fouled taking a three point shot. The girls continued to fight well into the second half with an aggressive and physical New Hampton team. The score was 29-21 with six minutes to play but Tess picked up her fourth foul and eventually a quick fifth to foul out of the game. New Hampton pulled away late and continued to fast break and pour in points after the game was well in hand. The girls played well today and stayed close with a tough opponent. They're final home game is on Wednesday at 2:00pm against Dublin School!
