Kimball Union traveled to Plymouth to face rival Holderness. Holderness and Kimball Union played very evenly in the opening 20 minutes. Most of the game was in the midfield with a few longer range shots. Both teams defended well and battled cleanly and the halftime score was 0-0. Both teams came out with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment. Kimball Union was dangerous, but Holderness keeper Mark Haggerty handled everything that was thrown his way until KUA finally found the back of the net in the 82nd minute. Tom Seo pressured the Holderness defense into a turn over which Nathan McCann centered and Ben Newton, inside the six, calmly passed to Matt Critchlow at the back post and Critchlow was able to finish it for the 1-0 lead. Nat Goss-Woliner made five saves for the shut out. Kimball Union is 5-0-1 in the Lakes Region League and 8-0-4 overall. Kimball Union hosts rival New Hampton School on Wednesday.
