KUA loses 2-0 to undefeated Brewster Academy

KUA GIrls Soccer travelled to Brewster this Wed to take on the undefeated Bobcats.  KUA was book-ended by Brewster who scored early and late to earn a 2-0 victory.  Their first goal, scored in the first minute, came off a routine cross that somehow found its way into the back of the net.  Their second, a penalty kick, came in the last ten minutes as the result of an unfortunate handball in the box for KUA.  In between both teams played an aggressive style as the spectators were rewarded with quality play from both sides throughout the match.  Each team generated a few quality scoring opportunities during this time but none resulted in goals as each goalie stood her ground.  Sammi Landino again had a strong game at stopper for KUA and Olivia Fauver and Torie Agel were effective in the back. KUA will try to get back on the winning track as they travel to Vermont Academy this Saturday.
