An uninspired start by KUA would stand to be the difference as Philips Andover ended the Wildcat's three game win streak. Andover would jump on KUA from the drop of the puck, popping three goals in the first ten minutes. For the majority of the period, KUA stood around and watched as Andover pressured. Late in the period though, KUA would capitalize on the power play as Brent Bourgeois tipped in an Andrew Richardson shot from the point. KUA came out and played better in the second, producing more chances and limiting Andovers transition game. Heading into the third down by two, the Wildcats would come within one off a Ross Jones goal. Brent Bourgeois and Jamie Schmidt would create the chance off a two on two, as the puck drifted in the slot, Jones put the rebound home. At 3-2, KUA had several power play chances to tie the game, but could not convert. Andover added a late goal to take the victory 4-2. Bob Fowler got the start as Mike Heffron and Jason Celin were both out with injuries. Andover outshot KUA 30-20.
Note: KUA has scored at least one power play goal in their last four games. Up next, KUA will travel to Holderness, which will surely be an intense rematch from last Saturday.
